If you have ever asked that question, we can assure you that you are not the only one. Search any internet parents’ forum and you will more than likely see this question being posed. For new parents, it can be worrying wondering if you have dressed your newborn correctly – you don’t want them being too hot, too cold or uncomfortable.
There are so many ways that these items of baby clothing can be defined, but here at Cotton Boulevard we use the following descriptions:
A Babygro and a sleepsuit are one of the same. Babygro is a brand name, trademarked in the United States in the 1950s. A sleepsuit is the generic name. They are both a one-piece item of baby clothing with long sleeves and legs with feet (or onesie as they are commonly called when they are made for older children, teenagers and adults).
These items of clothing, as the name suggests, are perfect for sleeping. Often made of cotton, they are comfortable, breathable and help baby to have a sound sleep.
Cotton Boulevard stocks a range of super soft organic cotton sleepsuits in a variety of colours and patterns. Comfortable and long-wearing, they are designed in a fitted style for extra night-time snugness, and fitted with a zip-up front for easy changing.
Bodysuits can be long or short sleeved, but do not have legs. They are fastened with poppers at the bottom to make it easy to remove during changing. These items of clothing are perfect to team with leggings and cardigans to make a complete outfit. They can also be worn under items of clothes to replace a vest and keep nappy secure
We stock a number of long and short-sleeved bodysuits that can be matched with other items of clothing in our range. Our bodysuits are also comfortable and long-wearing, and made using super soft organic cotton.
Rompers are like sleepsuits in that they are a one-piece. The biggest difference is they have cuffed ankles and the baby’s feet are exposed.
Like our sleepsuits and bodysuits, our rompers are made using super soft organic cotton in a range of colours and patterns. Organic cotton is extremely hard wearing, making it a perfect material for clothing such as rompers.
